Franciscan Oakville Estate Meritage, a blend of these two varietals, combines the structure and depth of Cabernet Sauvignon with the supple elegance of Merlot. This wine is the best expression of the unique character and complexity of our vineyards.
The grapes for this wine were grown on our Oakville Estate, situated between the Napa River and the Conn Creek in Napa Valley's prime growing area. The microclimate created by the two rivers, the composition of our soil, and our traditional growing practices impart to our wines their distinctive character and complexity.
